All of our doctors provide the highest standard of health care in the field of optometry. All are licensed by the Virginia Board. We offer up to date contact lens methodology, using the latest in diagnostic and treatment equipment.

Dr. Parker T. May (B.A.,B.S.,O.D.) received his degree in chemistry from George Mason University and his doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He graduated from both with honors. His areas of interest include specialty cosmetic contact lenses and laser vision correction design. Dr. May is a member of the American Optometric Association, the AOA Contact Lens Section, and the Virginia Optometric Association. Other interests include golf, tennis aviation, and racquetball.

 Dr. David H. Hettler (B.S.,O.D. Diplomate, American Board of Optometry) is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees. His areas of interest include contact lenses and helping the visually impaired. Dr. Hettler is a member of the American Optometric Association and the AOA Contact Lens Section. He is the past president of the Virginia Board of Optometry where he served by appointment of the Governor for 8 years and past president of the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. He has received the prestigious 2010 Virginia Optometrist of the Year award, Vanguard Award and Optometric Recognition Award by the Virginia Optometric Association. He enjoys cycling, boating, kites and racquetball

 Dr. Dina B. Mazeas (B.S.,O.D.) received her undergraduate degree from George Mason University and graduate degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She is a long time resident of Northern Virginia and has been practicing with Drs. May and Hettler since 1991. Dr. Mazeas is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the AOA Contact Lens Section, the Virginia Optometric Association and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. She is interested in dogs and crafts.

Dr. Karen P. Krotine, (B.S.,O.D.) graduated with distinction, from the Southern California College of Optometry after completing her undergraduate studies at Boston College. Dr. Krotine is a member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. Her special interests are in managing contact lens care. In her spare time she enjoys in-line skating, aerobics and travel.

 

 Dr. Pauline N. Gee (B.S., O.D.) hails from Texas. She is an alumna from the University of Houston where she completed her undergraduate and doctorate degrees in 1983. In the preceding years, she had been the privileged recipient of various scholarships and awards.

Dr. Gee has enjoyed private and associate practice in her home state until her transfer to this area in 1997. Currently, the laser technology has added a new and exciting dimension to her practice. Professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association, The Virginia Optometric Association and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. Aside from work, she looks forward to "experimental" cooking and gardening.

Dr. Kurt P. Finney, (B.S., O.D.) received his undergraduate degree from George Mason University and his doctorate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. His professional interests include the management of contact lenses and laser vision correction. Dr. Finney is a Board Member of the Northern Virginia Optometric Society and a member of the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, cycling and sculpting.

Dr. Alison Parrish, (B.S., O.D.) received her undergraduate degree Summa Cum Laude from American University in Washington, DC. She graduated Valedictorian from the State University of New York College of Optometry and completed her Residency training in Primary Care Optometry at the Portland Veterans Administration Hospital in Portland, OR. Her professional interests include ocular disease, pediatrics and low vision. Dr. Parrish is a member of the American Optometric Association, Virginia Optometric Association and the Northern Virginia Optometric Society. Outside of work she enjoys cooking, sports and travel.

DR. Jeanette Liu, (B.S., O.D.), received her undergraduate degree in biophysiology from the University of Maryland, college park.  She graduated with honors and received her doctorate from Nova Southeastern College of Optometry. She also completed her residency training in pediatrics & binocular vision from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Her professional interests include primary care, contact lens management, and pediatrics. Other interests include her 2 children, travel and aerobics
 
Dr. Stefan K. Young (B.A., O.D.) received his degree in biology from the University of Virginia and graduate degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association and the NVOS . Areas of interest include pediatrics and ocular disease. Other interests include reading, fencing, and watching classic movies.  
Dr. Tressa Larson (BS, MA, OD, FAAO) received her undergraduate degrees in physics and biology and her master's degree in education from West Virginia University.  She received her doctor of optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Her residency training focused on geriatrics and ocular disease.  Specialty contact lenses including scleral lenses for ocular surface disease are her major professional interests. Dr. Larson is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association. In her spare time she enjoys chasing her young daughter, pilates, singing, Renn Faires, and European board games.
Dr. Kuna Lim (B.S., O.D.) received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in College Park and her graduate degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.  Her professional interests include pediatrics and ocular disease.  Dr. Therdsteerasukdi is a member of the American Optometric Association and Virginia Optometric Association.  In her spare time she enjoys travelling, cars, and crafts.
